Erika Montero
Senior Producer for Cielo y Tierra Noticias del Mundo, Erika joined Earth & Sky in 2007. Erika was born and raised in Mexico City where she learned English and Spanish simultaneously at American-run bilingual schools. She migrated to the U.S. with her family at age 16 and pursued a college education in communications, radio, television and film.
Her fluency in both English and Spanish – coupled with her comprehension of both cultures and passion for communication – has been her most valuable tool as a professional translator. Erika has applied her translating skills in Hispanic advertising production and the media. Working for various Hispanic advertising agencies, she developed advertising campaigns for the Hispanic market. In addition, she worked in television for Telemundo and NBC. When it comes to communicating, Erika is a natural whether in English or Spanish.
