Michelle Reel
Michelle Reel brings ten years of professional writing and editing experience to EarthSky. Before recently joining EarthSky in 2007, Michelle wrote grants for a nonprofit agency serving the blind in San Antonio. Prior to that, she was a grant writer for a major children’s hospital in Fort Worth. Michelle has also freelanced for alternative magazines and educational publishing companies, including the San Antonio Current, Barrett Kendall Publishing and the Steck-Vaughn Company. Earlier in her career, Michelle worked as an online editor of the web guide CitySearch.com. Born on Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii, Michelle is a military brat who lived briefly in Asia and Europe before moving to Texas at the age of three where she spent most of her childhood in San Antonio. She also has lived on both the East and West Coasts but now lives in Canyon Lake in the beautiful Texas Hill country.
