Spanish Affiliate Relations Specialist
SPANISH AFFILIATE RELATIONS SPECIALIST FOR SYNDICATED RADIO SERIES
The Earth & Sky radio series seeks a full-time Spanish Affiliate Relations Specialist. The successful candidate will be trained to establish and maintain with Cielo y Tierra’s public and commercial/international radio affiliates by implementing knowledge of the Hispanic market and Spanish-language radio industry. Candidate must possess excellent bilingual communication skills. Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and strong organization skills required.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Recruit and increase affiliate radio stations via telemarketing.
• Maintain affiliate radio stations through public relations.
• Perform a variety of marketing functions.
• Conduct marketing research.
• Maintain station database.
He or she must be college graduate with 5 years experience in marketing, sales and media. Macintosh experience preferred. Must have excellent telephone manner. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
The position with be 40 hours per week in our offices in Austin, Texas. Salary commensurate depending on experience.
The Spanish Affiliate Relations Specialist will join Earth & Sky at an exciting period of growth for our radio series, as we recently launched a new Spanish science radio series. He or she will be exposed to the inner workings of the nation’s most successful daily science radio series, and will learn the intricacies of online publishing.
