Experts says buildings can go green now
The hybrid system collects the sun’s rays with a mirrored disc on a building’s rooftop, filtering out the harmful rays and absorbing heat.
Over 40 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions come from buildings. That’s according to research led by Marilyn Brown of Georgia Tech Univerisity. Brown spoke with Earth & Sky’s Jorge Salazar about innovations in lighting, heating, and cooling being developed for new and existing buildings to reduce their carbon footprint.
