Use Earth & Sky in your classroom
Earth & Sky is for teachers, too. Many teachers have told us that they use Earth & Sky in the classroom. Here are a few ideas that can get you started …
1. Play Earth & Sky at the beginning of a class, to create a special science moment before class begins.
2. On Earth & Sky radio shows that answer specific questions, play only the question … and ask kids to think about the answer. Then play the whole radio show, with both the question and answer, before class ends.
3. At computer time in the classroom, let your students explore our Kids section. They’ll find accurate, informative radio shows and articles from the world of science … some for big kids, and some for littler kids … and some made by kids like themselves!
Don’t forget! You can explore our site by the categories listed at right. Or use the search button to find shows relating to almost any science theme.

Our local radio station broadcasts the daily message at 6:35 am, just as I am leaving for school. I teach AP Human Geography. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used the messages in my classroom. My students are required to visit you site weekly. Thanks for the excellent research and concise messages. Just enoug enough to get you thinking.
Thank you Stella!
